Tesla is going all in on a subscription-only version of its Full Self-Drive software at a time regulators are probing the effectiveness of the system and lawmakers are considering new laws for self-driving cars. Telsa CEO Elon Musk said in a post on the social media platform X.com, which he also owns, that the Silicon Valley company's Full Self-Driving software would move to a monthly subscription model starting on February 14. "Tesla will stop selling FSD after Feb 14," Musk said in the post. "FSD will only be available as a monthly subscription thereafter." After the announcement, Tesla stock dropped about 0.9 , to nearly $442 per share, by the opening of trading Wednesday, Jan. 14 on the NASDAQ stock exchange.
