Instead of paper, hand-replaced price tags on shelves, Walmart stores will soon display digital price tags, controlled through a centralized system, according to a Walmart news release. Changes to prices that may have originally taken multiple days will soon be able to be completed in minutes. Walmart first introduced digital shelf labels at a Walmart location in Grapevine, Texas, a part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, in 2024.
