“This investment is intended to create jobs, help strengthen local economies, and make shopping faster and more convenient for our customers,” the Arkansas-based retailer said. The 650 scheduled remodels include Supercenters and Neighborhood Market locations. Locations set for the upgrades or new stores have not been announced. For Supercenters, customers can expect wider aisles, expanded pickup and delivery services and new digital touchpoints throughout stores to allow customers to access products online. Vision centers and pharmacies will be updated with private consultation rooms and interiors and exteriors will be refreshed with modern signage, improved parking and landscaping. Neighborhood Markets are getting expanded deli and hot bar selections, improved lighting and fixtures, pharmacy delivery options and upgraded areas for fulfilling online grocery orders, Walmart said.
