Cabot expands product portfolio with high performance carbon blacks for racing and ultra-high-performance tires BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Cabot Corporation (NYSE: CBT) announces an expanded range of premium carbon black products for racing and ultra-high-performance tires with the launch of the new PROPEL® X carbon black series. Cabot will showcase these new products at Tire Technology Expo 2018, February 20-22, 2018, in Hannover, Germany. The popularity of sports cars and luxury vehicles has led to a steady increase in the demand for high performance tires. Ultra-high-performance tires are designed with a focus on traction and precise handling characteristics which enables vehicles to safely reach ever-increasing performance requirements. Cabot has developed proprietary and differentiated carbon blacks to enhance the performance of these tires and is a leader in carbon black product
