BRISBANE, Calif., Sept. 22, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CareDx, Inc. (NASDAQ:CDNA), a molecular diagnostics company focused on the discovery, development and commercialization of clinically differentiated, high-value diagnostic solutions for transplant patients, today announced that Medicare reimbursement for AlloMap will increase from its current level of $2,840.75 to $3,240. Medicare released the preliminary 2018 Clinical Laboratory Fee Schedule (CLFS) reflecting a 14% increase to CPT 81595, the code that represents AlloMap. The increase is the result of the Protecting Access to Medicare Act (PAMA) of 2014. PAMA revises the Medicare payment system for clinical laboratory tests by setting Medicare payments based on the weighted median of rates paid by private payers.
