LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J., Dec. 20, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Celsion Corporation (the “Company”) (NASDAQ:CLSN) today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement with several institutional investors to purchase an aggregate of approximately $1.8 million of shares of common stock in a registered direct offering. The Company agreed to sell an aggregate of approximately 5.2 million shares of common stock at a price of $0.35 per common share in the registered direct offering. Additionally, the investors will receive, for each share of common stock purchased in the registered direct offering, a warrant to purchase a share of common stock. The warrants have an exercise price of $0.46 per share, are initially exercisable six months following issuance, and terminate five and one-half years following issuance.
