General Electric (NYSE: GE ) is a complicated company and the recent happenings complicated the matter further. However, investing, especially long term investing - the kind of investing many GE holders practice - is inherently simple. You look at a company and see its businesses, free cash flows available to shareholders, return on investment capital, margin of safety, and you compare your range of values to the stock price.
