Summary GE's Mid-November 2017 Guidance, Adjusted For Actual 2017 Results, And Re-stated For Revenue Accounting And Non-GAAP Changes Effective In 2018 During 4th quarter earnings call question time, JPMorgan analyst, Stephen Tusa, questioned - with base segment performance being down in 2017, how could 2018 guidance for General Electric ( GE ) earnings per share be maintained? To address that question, I flesh out the detail underlying GE's November 2017 guidance for FY 2018, adjusting where necessary for FY 2017 actual results diverging from FY 2017 guidance. I re-state FY 2017 earnings, to conform to GE's proposed revised basis for reporting non-GAAP results, and changes in revenue accounting standard, effective FY 2018.
