HARLEYSVILLE, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Board of Directors of Harleysville Financial Corporation (the “Company”)(OTCQX: HARL), holding company for Harleysville Bank (the “Bank”), announced today that Ronald B. Geib, Chief Executive Officer, will retire from active management of the Company and Bank as CEO on March 30, 2018. He will continue as a board member and as Chairman of both the Corporation and the Bank. The Company’s Board of Directors unanimously approved Brendan J. McGill, current President and Chief Operating Officer to succeed Geib as CEO effective March 31, 2018. With over 20 years of banking experience, Mr. McGill joined the Bank in September, 1999 as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer.
