NEW ORLEANS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Former Attorney General of Louisiana, Charles C. Foti, Jr., Esq., a partner at the law firm of Kahn Swick & Foti, LLC (“KSF”), announces that KSF has commenced an investigation into J.C. Penney Company, Inc. (NYSE: JCP). On December 8, 2016, the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office filed a lawsuit against the principal operating subsidiary of J.C. Penney Company, Inc., J.C. Penney Corporation, Inc. The lawsuit alleges that J.C. Penney has continued to engage in an unlawful, unfair, and fraudulent business practice commonly referred to as “false reference pricing.” Moreover, the lawsuit alleges that, pursuant to a settlement in a private class action approved in 2016, J.C.
