Investors underwhelmed with mid-stage data on Kadmon's KD025 in IPF; shares down 13%Kadmon Holdings (KDMN-12.6%) slumps on more than a 5x surge in volume after it reportedtop-line data from an ongoing Phase 2 clinical trial assessing KD025 in patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) who were previously treated with (or offered) pirfenidone (Roche'sEsbriet) and/or nintedanib (Boehringer Ingelheim'sOFEV).20 evaluable patients receiving KD025 experienced a median decline in forced vital capacity (FVC), a measure of lung function, of 48 mL at week 24 compared to a median decline of 175 mL in patients receiving best supportive care (BSC).At week 24, 20% of KD025-treated patients progressed, as determined by at least a 5% decline in FVC%, compared to 44% for BSC.On the safety front, KD025 was well-tolerated with no drug-related serious adverse events observed.The results will be submitted for presentation at the American Thoracic Society International Conference in May.Small molecu
