pSivida's Durasert shows treatment benefit at month 12 in second late-stage PSU study, U.S. marketing application submittedResults from a second Phase 3 clinical trial evaluating pSivida's (NASDAQ:PSDV) Durasert for the long-term (three years) treatment of posterior segment uveitis (PSU) showed a significant treatment benefit after one year.36.6% of patients receiving Durasert experienced a recurrence of PSU through month 12 compared to 71.2% for sham (placebo) (pU.S. marketing application last month. The FDA has not yet accepted it for review.Durasert is a miniaturized injectable sustained-release drug delivery system for small molecules (up to three years).
