QIAGEN launches epigenetic breast cancer test in EuropeQIAGEN (NASDAQ:QGEN)announces the commercial launch of its therascreen PITX2 RGQ PCR Kit, what it says is the first clinically validated DNA methylation assay that helps predict the response to anthracycline-based chemo by certain high-risk breast cancer patients. It is the company's first epigenetic test for breast cancer.Epigenetics is the study of gene expression (active versus inactive genes) that does not involve changes in the underlying DNA sequence.
