Snap stock soars after analyst says ‘worst is behind’ the company Snap Inc. shares jumped Tuesday, after analysts at Barclays expressed confidence in the company’s revenue and user growth trajectories going forward. The firm upgraded Snap’s SNAP, +0.03% stock to overweight from equal weight on Tuesday, with its analysts suggesting a bottom may have been seen, as the company completes its transition to a self-service ad platform and rolls out a redesigned version of the Snapchat app. “We think the worst is behind Snap and the company is likely to get back on track in 2018,” the Barclays team wrote. The stock rallied 8.8% in midday trade. It was on track for an eighth gain in nine sessions, rallying 19.6% since it closed at a record low of $12.34 on Nov. 21.
