HOUSTON, Aug. 02, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- TC PipeLines, LP (NYSE:TCP) (the Partnership) today reported second quarter 2018 net income attributable to controlling interests of $73 million and distributable cash flow of $101 million. "The continued strong performance of our assets this quarter has reinforced the benefits of the solid underlying market fundamentals of our long-lived assets," said Nathan Brown, president of TC PipeLines GP, Inc. "We were encouraged by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's July 18th final rulemaking that clarified some of the outstanding questions for MLPs and provided for a measure of flexibility in the upcoming regulatory process for implementing tax reform in natural gas pipeline rates. Currently, we are narrowing our estimated range of negative impact from FERC's revised policies to $40 to $60 million per year."
