Telecom Italia (NYSE: TI ) will hire Rothschild in order to sell its wholesale unit, Sparkle, Bloomberg reports. That move is expected to come at a Nov. 8 board meeting. As with other incumbent telecoms, the company's wholesale unit operates submarine cables and sells network access to customers like Google and Verizon. Sparkle brings in more than $1.5B in revenues per year.
