Kate Spade brings earnings upside, stock-target hikes to Coach parent Tapestry Integrating Kate Spade into the fabric at Tapestry Inc. is bringing earnings upside to the luxury brand, and driving up stock-target prices from analyst groups. Tapestry TPR, +3.02% , whose portfolio of brands includes Coach and Stuart Weitzman, brought Kate Spade into the fold in 2017 . Tapestry was previously Coach Inc. The company is in the process of integrating Kate Spade, the eponymous handbag, apparel and decor line, into the operating platform. And the company is cutting the number of flash sales and discounts to improve its positioning, Chief Executive Victor Luis said on the Tuesday earnings call, a pricing strategy that the company has put in place for the Coach brand as well. Same-store sales for the brand were up 3% for the second quarter, sales increased 2% and, according to Luis, the plan to reinforce merchandise in the $300-to-$400 price range is showing signs of progress.
