WARRENDALE, pa. (PRWEB) August 14, 2018 SAE International announces a new Meetup that explores the impact of automated vehicles (AV) on freeway congestion.Hosted by SAE – Innovations in Mobility, "HOW and WHEN AV's Will Reduce Freeway Congestion" will be held Tuesday, Aug. 28, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Prospect SV, 1608 Las Plumas Ave., San Jose, Calf. Author and Professor Dr. Allen Fuhs will host the event. Dr. Fuhs will talk about how concepts like quantum mechanics are used to produce models for traffic behavior and congestion. AVs and platooning are potential grails that hopefully will make life better for all. Dr. Fuhs earned his PhD at CalTech after growing up in New Mexico and serving almost four years in the Navy during the Korean War. Dr. Allen is an SAE Fellow, from which he was awarded the SAE Teetor Award for excellence in teaching. He rediscovered the antiprism cube and was developed by him in assisting Sigma Xi, the National Research Society, in a nation-wide STEM project.
