I have been quite bullish on Uniti Group ( UNIT ) since I first started writing about it in August of 2017. As UNIT dropped into the teens, I greedily picked up shares in the mid-teens. My bullish thesis relied on the idea that if WIN filed bankruptcy, the lease would be assumed and payments would continue. The share price would increase after the lease was assumed, or would increase if it became apparent that WIN would not be filing bankruptcy at all. Last month, I wrote my first slightly bearish article on UNIT. In that article, I observed that organic growth has been disappointing and expressed concern that management decided to issue shares via the ATM. Most concerning is their current liquidity situation. I warned: While I remain confident that the decision will go WIN's way and UNIT's share price will react positively, the dividend is clearly at risk and the next quarter or two is likely where it will be determined whether or not a dividend cut is necessary
