If you're hoping to get some rest on your flight, snag a window seat. The safest airplane seats, in case of a plane crash, tend to be in the back of the aircraft close to the tail section. Spoiler alert: Bulkhead seats and exit rows shouldn't always be your top choice. Better legroom If you want to stretch out, you'll have more space to spread in the exit row, which are roomier to allow people to get in and out in case of an emergency.
