TEL AVIV, Israel, June 26, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- VBL Therapeutics (Nasdaq:VBLT), a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on the discovery, development and commercialization of first-in-class treatments for cancer, today announced that it has entered into definitive agreements with several institutional and accredited investors for the purchase, in a registered direct offering priced at-the-market, of units consisting of 5,904,762 of its ordinary shares, at a purchase price per share of $2.50, and accompanying short term warrants to purchase up to 2,952,381 ordinary shares and long term warrants to purchase up to 2,952,381 ordinary shares (collectively, the “warrants”), at an additional purchase price per warrant combination of $0.125, for aggregate gross proceeds of approximately $15.5 million. The ordinary shares and the warrants will be immediately separable and will be issued separately. The closing of the offering is expected to take place on or about June 27, 2018,
