VF Corp. upgraded on strength of the Vans brand VF Corp. VFC, +0.84% shares rose 1.4% in premarket trading after it was upgraded at Cowen & Co. on the strength of the Vans brand. Cowen raised its price target to $106 from $96. At the company's investor meeting on Wednesday, it announced a financial target of $5 billion in revenue by 2023, a $2 billion increase. VF Corp. acquired Vans in 2004 and it has since grown at a 17% compounded annual rate, according to a statement from Steve Rendle, the company's chief executive. The company expects to diversify and grow that brand across categories and geographies, with apparel and accessories expected to grow to more than $1 billion by fiscal 2023, footwear expected to grow at a five-year compounded annual growth rate of 10% to 12% in that period, and direct-to-consumer revenue expected to reach about $3 billion in that time.
