Summary WSI Industries Inc. (NASDAQ: WSCI ) is a leading contract manufacturer that specializes in the machining of complex, high-precision parts for a wide range of industries, including automotive, avionics and aerospace, energy, recreational powersports vehicles, small engines, marine, bioscience and the defense markets. The last article I wrote on the company was in April 2015, and since that time, the company has encountered challenges with its key customers: Victory Motorcycles, an important Polaris Industries (NYSE: PII ) product line for WSI, halted production in January 2017, and orders from its energy customers significantly declined in conjunction with lower oil prices. In addition, business development efforts did not yield timely sales impacts, all of which ultimately resulted in several consecutive quarters of revenue declines throughout fiscal 2016 and into the middle of fiscal 2017.
