The pilot is small, with just two vehicles traveling to select points in the city. Over time, Yandex plans to include more destinations, additional vehicles, and removing [sic] the safety driver. Yandex has been working on self-driving cars for over a year , which makes sit a relative newcomer to the field. Unlike many Internet companies working on self-driving cars, however, the company has operated a ride-sharing service, called Yandex.Taxi, since 2011.
