(NYSE American:ZOM) ("Zomedica" or the "Company"), a veterinary health company offering diagnostic and therapeutic products for companion animals, has initiated a study to evaluate shock wave therapy as a treatment for Exercised Induced Pulmonary Hemorrhage (EIPH).EIPH or "bleeding" occurs in horses when pulmonary blood vessels in the lungs rupture after intense exercise. The study aims to understand the effect of shock wave therapy on horses with confirmed EIPH by evaluating bleeding episodes and performance in barrel racing horses, before and after shockwave therapy.
