Here's how to save on gas in the Twin Cities as prices rise [CBS News]

Warehouse clubs like Costco and Sam's Club typically offer members gas 10 to 30 cents lower than the local average. But a new concept in Plymouth is taking those savings even further. "As far as we know, there's no one else that does a membership with a car wash and fuel," said Terri Gerring, a manager at Members Car Wash and Fuel. The monthly membership unlocks discounted gas well below average with unlimited car washes. "I take the average cost of gas in Plymouth, and our gas today is 61 cents lower than the average," said Gerring. As prices rise nationwide, the interest is growing. "We've had a lot of inquiries about it, we think we offer good savings for customers," Gerring said. Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Kingdom Embassy Worship Center is giving away $30 for free gas to the first 600 cars that show up to the Amoco on Brooklyn Boulevard in Brooklyn Park, as well as the Shell on Sixth Avenue South in Hopkins.
