As the second quarter of the new year approaches for many companies, Walmart continues to expand its footprint, including a single opening in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex this month. The opening in northern Texas will come at the end of April, the company confirmed to USA TODAY on March 31. The store will join the company's fleet of more than 10,900 stores Walmart spent 2025 opening 12 new stores and remodeling 674 stores , President and CEO David Guggina said during the company's Feb. 19 earnings call. The company also announced a 4.6% increase in comparable store sales for its fourth quarter of 2025. Company executives also announced in February 2026 that Walmart International saw a 7.5% increase in net sales growth during the final quarter of 2025.
