His website, NoBudge , currently one of the best places to sample what’s happening in the low-to-micro-budget cinema worldwide, is still largely a one-man operation seven years after it was introduced as a Tumblr blog in 2011. At that point, his intention was to post his own films; those of friends and collaborators; and material he happened to find interesting. “I can be a bit of a walking contradiction in that I’m a loner in many respects, but when I’m making a film, I want to be collaborative and not a dictator about what the movie should be,” Mr. Audley said in a recent phone interview.
