CBS shares rise on earnings beat CBS Corp. CBS, +1.59% class B stock rose 2.1% in the extended session Thursday after the company beat earnings expectations. The company reported fourth-quarter net losses of $42 million, or 10 cents a share, compared with losses of $113 million, or 27 cents a share, in the year-ago period. Adjusted earnings were $1.20 cents a share. Revenue rose to $3.92 billion from $3.52 billion in the year-ago period. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had estimated adjusted earnings of $1.14 a share on revenue of $3.71 billion. For the first quarter, analysts model adjusted earnings of $1.30 on sales of $3.54 billion. CBS class B stock has fallen 13% in the past year, as the S&P 500 index SPX, +1.21% rose 15%.
