LANCASTER, N.Y., March 12, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Ecology and Environment Engineering, P.C. (E & E) (NASDAQ:EEI) has been awarded the American Council of Engineering Companies of New York (ACEC New York) Platinum Engineering Excellence Award in the Environmental category. The prestigious award recognizes E & E’s pioneering work on Williams Gas Pipelines’ Rockaway Delivery Lateral Project, a 3-mile, 26-inch offshore pipeline that provides natural gas from the existing Transco pipeline in New York Bay to the Rockaways. It is one of only two new delivery points for interstate natural gas infrastructure into New York City in over 40 years. From inception through construction, E & E guided site selection, developed the permitting and mitigation strategy, and completed environmental review, agency coordination, permit development, and compliance implementation.
