Summary The U.K. market had been the largest in Europe for Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA ) at one point in 2016. Demand and interest remain high and are growing rapidly. It is thought that Model 3 reservation numbers for the U.K. are very healthy. However delays in Model 3 production and especially in a right-hand drive version put Tesla's position in the U.K. at some risk. In general EV supply looks like it's having a hard time meeting up with demand over the next couple of years. Model S and K There are some conflicting signs of supply and demand. The Tesla web-site in the U.K. shows quite a few models described as new cars preconfigured available on a 14-day lead-time right now. Effectively that means they are ex stock in the U.K. At the same time there are those on the website who are still keenly awaiting delivery of product but are told they have three months to wait.
