The firm reported adjusted (EPS) of $0.47, well above analysts' predictions which ranged from $0.28 to $0.29 per share. The revenue was approximately $5.63 billion, a slight decrease from the previous year, but still above consensus estimates, thanks to significantly higher realized commodity prices. The average price of copper was around $5.33 per pound, and gold was approximately $4,078 per ounce during the quarter, helping to counteract pronounced production declines due to the disruption at the Grasberg mine in Indonesia late last year.
