Applied Optoelectronics surged to a new record high on Friday, reflecting strong investor confidence in its business despite the absence of fresh developments. At intra-day trading, the stock jumped to its highest price of $48.31 before paring gains to finish the session just up by 10.21 percent at $43.61 apiece.
