I watched with mild amusement as last week's Vision Pro naysayers began talking about Vision Pro's slow sales, how many who have used it at first are barely using it now, and that it is destined to be a failure. A recent report by noted that Apple has cut its Vision Pro shipments gave the naysayers new fodder to take shots at the Vision Pro even though it has only been out for three months. I say, mildly amused since this refrain pops up every time Apple breaks new ground. When the Mac came out in 1984, many said it would fail. Instead, it introduced a new personal computer interface that revolutionized the PC landscape. PROMOTED If you were around at that time, you know that Apple also introduced the 3.5-inch disk in the Mac when 5.25-inch floppy drives ruled the PC world. This, too, was soundly criticized, yet it forced the PC market to move to this disk format within a year.
