In 1966, she moved to Charlotte, North Carolina. There, she met a lot of great people and had a lot of great experiences. She also found a great place of worship and the encouragement to begin to write and put her thoughts and feelings on paper. Ford shares, "My book is based on my real-life experiences and trails.
