You add a card to use when you first set up iOS, along with all the details like your billing and shipping address, and then when you want to use that card to make a purchase on your Apple device, it just works. Up until about a year ago, Apple Pay has mainly been a summoned type of transaction. When you need it, you double click a button on your phone or watch. But websites and apps have started to adopt the payment method in greater numbers. Heading into the final stretch for holiday shopping, I've personally used it half a dozen times in the past few days. If you're like me, though, you don't even think about the transaction. You click the Apple Pay button, double-click the relevant hardware button, and you're done. But what if you're buying a gift that needs to be shipped somewhere else? A
