Samsung's New Products Highlight How Its Strategy Differs from Apple's Samsung ( SSNLF AAPL At face value, Samsung's Unpacked event this week looked like another case of one-upmanship between the No. 1 (Samsung) and No. 3 (Apple) smartphone makers in the world, with Samsung rolling out a trio of new flagship phones, Onstage, Samsung executives also talked up its growing ecosystem of products One of the announcements that most impressed onlookers wasn't even a device, however. It was a new charge-share capability in the Galaxy S10 lineup, whereby one can charge accessories like Galaxy Buds simply by placing them on the phone. The Galaxy Buds -- smaller and more compact than AirPods, fitting neatly in one's ear -- were also compared favorably to AirPods, the design of which garnered early ridicule.
