earnings growth accelerates alongside broader adoption of artificial intelligence. In a note led by Ben Snider, the team expects earnings per share at S&P 500 ( SPY ) companies to rise 12% next year and 10% in 2027, with AI-related productivity gains contributing about 0.4% and 1.5% respectively. Snider reiterated Goldman's forecast for the S&P 500 to trade around 7,600 points next year, implying potential gains of roughly 10% from current levels, supported by resilient economic growth, healthy nominal revenue expansion and a fading drag from tariffs.
