Tennessee in a major company expansion coaxed by economic development incentives by the state of Tennessee. The corporate office will be located at Peabody Union, a new office building and mixed use development just south of Ascend Amphitheater in the downtown Nashville area. The new location will be home to 2,000 jobs. Executives from international coffee giant Starbucks joined city and state officials in downtown Nashville on April 21 to publicly address the expansion for the first time and provide details about the deal. Starbucks initially announced its plans to open a South regional headquarters in Nashville with little fanfare on March 3.
