AbbVie: $63 Billion Allergan Acquisition Just What The Doctor Ordered Summary On June 25th AbbVie announced it will acquire Allergan, maker of Botox and other products, for ~$63 billion. AbbVie stock fell 15% on the news, a possible signal that investors are not on board. However, the deal should be highly accretive to AbbVie, and should help protect its growth after Humira loses exclusivity in the U.S. AbbVie stock was cheap before the deal, and is even cheaper today.
