Fed Circuit orders new trial in Abbott drug test patent case A U.S. appeals court on Friday granted patent monetization company Rembrandt IP Management a new trial in an infringement case it brought against an Abbott Laboratories diagnostic testing subsidiary. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit said a retrial was warranted because a California judge had misinterpreted key terms in a Rembrandt patent on drug testing technology.
