NEW YORK, Aug. 27, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Canada made headlines in 2018 after it became the second country in the world to completely legalize cannabis for adult use. The spur of legalization efforts has drawn in millions of people worldwide who are curious to try cannabis. Pia M. Mauro, PhD, Assistant Professor of Epidemiology at the Mailman School of Public Health, highlighted that the increase in daily and nondaily usage among adults was predominantly due to legalization efforts, attitudes and risk perception.
