Benchmark copper on the London Metal Exchange (LME) gained 0.8% to $4,881 a tonne in official trading. Its 1% rise last week on positive factory data from top consumer China snapped a six-week losing streak. Deaths and new infections from the coronavirus eased in countries including France, Italy and Spain.
