On the stock market today , Acorda stock slumped 15.1%, to 16.16, after earlier touching a three-month low. Goldman Sachs analyst Salveen Richter cut her price target on Acorda stock to 10 from 19. She also downgraded Acorda to a sell rating from neutral. Richter notes multiple sclerosis treatment Ampyra is facing generic competition . And she doesn't expect Acorda's experimental Parkinson's disease treatment, known as Inbrija, to fill the gap. "We project Inbrija U.S. peak sales of $550 million (40% of market), lower than Acorda guidance of more than $800 million based on physician feedback," she wrote in a note to clients. Four generic rivals to Ampyra entered the market on Oct. 31, Richter said. The multiple sclerosis treatment is Acorda's only commercial product. Thus, an approval for Inbrija is "critical"
