SHELTON, Conn., Oct. 21, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Acme United Corporation (NYSE American: ACU) today announced that net sales for the quarter ended September 30, 2025 were $49.1 million compared to $48.2 million in the third quarter of 2024, an increase of 2%. Net sales for the nine months ended September 30, 2025 were $149.0 million compared to $148.5 million in the same period in 2024. Net income was $1.9 million, or $0.46 per diluted share, for the quarter ended September 30, 2025, compared to $2.2 million, or $0.54 per diluted share, for the same period in 2024, a decrease of 14% in net income and 15% in diluted earnings per share. Net income declined due to significantly lower tax expense in the third quarter of 2024, when the Company recorded a large excess tax benefit resulting from the exercise of stock options.
