Archer-Daniels-Midland Co. is facing a potential strike at its soybean crush plant in Des Moines, adding another headache for executives already handling challenges like a trade war and a slumping stock price United Food & Commercial Workers Local 431 President Simplice Kuelo, whose union represents about 40 workers at the plant, said April 15 that his members will walk away from the negotiating table if ADM officials don't meet a couple of their conditions. Kuelo said union members want more clarity about how much they will have to spend under the company's health insurance plans.
