The global economy has dealt with a number of headwinds surprisingly well and, although economic activity has probably moderated somewhat, forecasts for growth remain solid. Among individual holdings, Agnico Eagle Mines and Wheaton Precious Metals were notable contributors to performance, as the gold price continued to rise. During the quarter, we continued to maintain our emphasis on companies with strong balance sheets and sustainable competitive advantages.
