Allergan's Bimatoprost ER implant on par with timolol in reducing IOP in late-stage studyTopline data from a Phase 3 clinical trial assessing the ability of Allergan's (NYSE:AGN) Bimatoprost SR (Sustained-Release), a biodegradable intracameral (into the eye cavity) implant, to lower intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension showed a treatment benefit.Patients receiving Bimatoprost SR experienced 30% lower IOP over the 12-week primary efficacy period, meeting the predefined non-inferiority criteria compared to timolol eye drops, while being well-tolerated by most patients.Additional safety data from the study and topline results from a second Phase 3 will reported in H1 2019.
