At 9:56 a.m. ET (1356 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index was up 47 points, or 0.31 percent, to 15,087.30. Eight of its 10 main sectors were higher. Agrium gained 0.9 percent to C$125.43 and Potash Corp rose 1 percent to C$22.40 after Canada’s Competition Bureau said it will not challenge their proposed merger.
