This year's theme, "Costume Art," is curated by Andrew Bolton and the Costume Institute's spring exhibition explores the "centrality of the dressed body" across nearly 400 objects, weaving together approximately 200 garments and accessories alongside paintings, sculptures, and decorative arts from The Met's permanent collection.
